Extend runs USB up to 100 metres over ordinary Cat6 — freeing PC-based rooms and BYOD tables from the five-metre USB leash, with Logitech-grade reliability between camera and compute.
What it is
USB that reaches the rack room.
USB's dirty secret is its leash: a few metres and it sulks. Extend snaps the leash, carrying USB over the building's own Cat6 so the room's camera and audio can live 100 metres from the computer driving them.
That unlocks cleaner architecture: compute in the comms room where IT wants it, peripherals in the room where people are, structured cabling in between.
It's the quiet infrastructure piece in our larger PC-based and BYOD designs — invisible when it works, which is the point.
