ECU Collaborative Spaces AV Upgrade

Background

Edith Cowan University (ECU) engaged FocusAV to deliver a state-of-the-art AV solution across multiple collaborative spaces. The goal was to enhance meeting room functionality with seamless video conferencing, intuitive content sharing, and easy room scheduling for staff and students.

Challenges

ECU required a consistent, user-friendly AV experience across several rooms of varying sizes. Each space needed technology that could support hybrid meetings, wireless content sharing, and touch-enabled control, while integrating smoothly with existing IT infrastructure and network requirements.

The Solution

FocusAV designed and installed a solution featuring Samsung commercial displays, Logitech Rally Bars and Rally Bar Minis, Rally Mic Pods, and Logitech Sight for intelligent camera tracking. Crestron AirMedia 3200 Receivers were integrated for wireless presentation, along with HDMI–USB-C table connections for wired content sharing. Logitech Tap IP panels and Room Schedulers were installed for simple meeting control and booking visibility.

Our team worked closely with ECU’s IT and construction teams, providing detailed wall elevations, power, and data outlet requirements to ensure a smooth installation process and future-proof connectivity.

Results

The completed spaces now provide ECU with a unified, professional AV experience. Staff and students can launch video meetings with a single touch, share content wirelessly or via cable, and easily find available rooms thanks to the external scheduling panels. The combination of Logitech Sight and Rally hardware ensures clear audio and intelligent speaker framing, creating a more engaging hybrid learning and collaboration environment.
