Background
Edith Cowan University engaged Focus AV to upgrade the AV across multiple collaborative spaces.
The aim was practical: better video conferencing, content sharing that works first time, and room scheduling staff and students can actually see, all in rooms that get used constantly.

The challenge
The rooms varied in size but the experience could not. ECU needed one consistent way of working across every space, so nobody arrives in an unfamiliar room and loses the first ten minutes of a session.
Each space had to support hybrid meetings, wireless and wired content sharing, and touch control — and all of it had to sit properly within ECU's existing IT infrastructure and network requirements rather than around them.

The solution
Focus AV designed and installed a common platform, scaled to each room:
- Samsung commercial displays throughout.
- Logitech Rally Bars in the larger spaces and Rally Bar Minis in the smaller ones, with Rally Mic Pods for table coverage and Logitech Sight for intelligent camera tracking.
- Crestron AirMedia 3200 receivers for wireless presentation, plus HDMI and USB-C table connections for anyone who would rather plug in.
- Logitech Tap IP panels for in-room control and Room Schedulers outside each door.
We worked alongside ECU's IT and construction teams throughout, supplying detailed wall elevations and outlet requirements early enough to be built in rather than worked around. That kept the installation running to program across every room and left connectivity in place for whatever ECU adds next.

The outcome
The spaces now behave as one system. Staff and students start a video meeting with a single touch, share content wirelessly or by cable, and find a free room by looking at the panel on the door instead of walking the floor.
Sight and the Rally hardware together mean remote participants get clear audio and sensible framing of whoever is speaking, which makes hybrid sessions worth joining rather than something to endure. The same standard now repeats across every upgraded space, and it extends to the next ones as ECU adds them.
