Background
Built. is one of Australia's leading construction and fit-out specialists. Their induction room carries a heavy load — site inductions, training sessions and meetings that regularly include people who aren't in the building.
With hybrid sessions now the norm rather than the exception, Built. engaged Focus AV to design and install a system that put remote participants on equal footing with the people sitting at the table.

The challenge
The room has to do more than one job. Inductions, training and general meetings all run in the same space, and the layout changes with them.
That ruled out a fixed installation built around one seating arrangement. It also ruled out anything that left equipment and cables scattered across the floor — an induction room full of visitors is no place for trip hazards.
The brief came down to three things: audio and video good enough for inductions where detail matters, a system that moves with the room, and nothing cluttering the space when it isn't in use.

The solution
Focus AV specified a Logitech Rally Plus, built onto a dual-screen trolley so the whole system rolls to wherever the session is set up. Two screens mean a presenter can hold content on one and remote participants on the other, instead of trading one for the other.
Ceiling-mounted microphone pods handle the audio pickup. Voices are captured from above and evenly across the room, so people can speak from any seat without passing a microphone around or leaning toward a table mic.
Nothing sits on the table, and nothing runs across the floor. The trolley carries the screens, the Rally Plus and its cabling as a single unit.

The outcome
Audio is clear and the picture is sharp — the two things that decide whether a hybrid meeting is worth attending remotely. The room now handles inductions, training and everyday collaboration without anyone having to think about the technology first.
Because the system lives on a trolley, it isn't tied to the induction room. Built. can move it to whichever space needs it and get the same result every time.
The wider point is that a traditional meeting room does not need rebuilding to work as a hybrid one. The right conferencing hardware, mounted so it moves with the room, was enough to change how Built.'s team connects with people who aren't on site.
